Midweight Interior Stylist / Home Stager
POSITION SUMMARY
The Midweight Interior Stylist is an integral team player for all aspects of the company including home staging and residential interior design projects.
The ideal candidate has a great attitude and a strong work ethic. They are out-of-the-box thinker who sees challenges as opportunities. Excellent communication and organization skills, time-management skills, attention to detail, and follow-through are second nature for them. They take pride in their work. Diplomacy and grace under pressure come easily to them.
They have an understanding of home styling and at least two years of interior design or styling experience (residential, commercial, events, or film).
This is a hands-on position that will require the successful candidate to be physically present on site and lend a helping hand in achieving the design vision. Note: Our workday usually begins at 7:30 AM! If you have trouble being timely at that hour, please do not apply! Schedule varies on a day-to-day basis but typically involves moving around various sites, mainly throughout San Francisco, but occasionally also other Bay Area counties.
Ideally, we’d like the successful candidate to start mid-August. Our work is seasonal and therefore there may be periods when we’re extremely busy and also periods when it’s quieter than usual.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Support the design team and physically execute tasks related to staging multi-million-dollar listings, interior design projects, and other company ventures. This includes, but is not limited to:
· Working with the design team to achieve the design vision for each given project.
· Selecting inventory for installations, maintaining accurate inventory management, documentation, and labeling.
· Working with the move team to outline items to be loaded onto trucks for installation, maintain seamless loading and off-loading processes / supervise loading of items on trucks post installations.
· Staging and styling installations, including tasks such as: selecting, packing, and unpacking accessories; selecting and hanging art; steaming linens & drapes; cleaning installed pieces, general styling, and watering plants.
· Maintaining inventory at required levels, organizing storage within the warehouse, and maintaining cleanliness continually.
· Tracking inventory and updating and managing other installation-related documentation.
· Maintaining flawless, secure management of keys to properties.
· Maintaining excellent agent, homeowner, and Building Management/HOA relationships.
· Implementing new systems and procedures to help the company grow and expand.
· Maintaining company reputation, and promoting company innovation and excellence.
· Running miscellaneous errands such as deliveries, pick-ups, change-outs, and watering plants.
Other tasks may include:
· Attending proposal meetings, taking site photos.
· Issuing spec sheets for finishes, lighting, hardware, and other items for any given staging project.
QUALIFICATIONS
· Previous work experience in home staging, event staging/production, film set/production, or related industries – minimum of 2 years of experience
· On-site, hands-on experience with interior, events, film set installations and styling
· Experience working in and managing small teams, including delegating workload
· Experience and comfort working in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with ever-changing deadlines
· Excellent memory and attention to detail
· Knowledge and interest in interior design history, present and upcoming trends
· Proficient Microsoft Office Suite user (Excel, Word, Outlook), Cloud-based file-sharing software user
· Legally eligible to work in the U.S. immediately (We are unable to sponsor work visas)
· Excellent command of the English language, both spoken and written
· Valid driving license holder and access to a reliable vehicle.

· Comfortable working with various interior design styles, able to put together a cohesive room setting with items on hand, creativity with the use of materials, and styling items
· Must be great with scale - often specifying items for rooms from photos only
· Ability to professionally represent the company to agents, clients, showrooms, and vendors
· Ability to interact with peers, management, partners, and other staff in a professional manner and create harmonious relationships
· Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously
· Ability to perform various installation tasks such as lifting (up to 40 pounds), on their feet for extended periods, using a ladder, hanging art, ironing & steaming linens, and other physical activities
· Ability to observe company policies, procedures, and the instructions of supervisors
· Great memory and ability to differentiate between similar inventory items
BENEFITS
· Starting salary $30-$35/hr (DOE) with a review three months into the role

· This is a full-time role, with a guaranteed minimum of 20hrs/per week, but the majority of the time closer to 40hrs/week. You will be paid bi-monthly based on hours worked (upon time-sheet submittal) and reimbursed for work-related mileage and expenses where relevant.
